Jade green Mermaid

I just wanted to show my new works in progress. This is a quick scan of a mermaid with a beautiful jade green tail. Painted with waterproof inks and watercolors on bristol board. Sometimes it takes me a while to figure out what colors to use to complete a painting. I would stare at the finished inked art, wondering what colors I should use. Sometimes I have to get away from working on this painting and work on another illustration, until my inspiration comes back and I get an idea of what colors to use. Some days the colors and ideas just flow to me.
